journal quilt

I feel better with 2{52}, this weeks journal quilt. It feels more me that last weeks journal. It is a paper towel used to wipe up some fabric paint drips from last weeks project, silk organza scraps, tulle, glittery tulle, two different color and thickness silk threads and a red rayon thread for ~ breathe~... This was mostly an exercise in creating more texture with the materials on hand, an exercise in creating a more organic look, an exercise in being more myself..

Is it weird that I see a curvy female torso in it?

Interesting idea to use paper toweling. I'll have to go out to the studio and look in my garbage can now at the paper towels I use to wipe paints. !! Nice sewing stitches too.

Ooooo, I like it! I love how you incorporate your hand stitching into your work to such great effect. I see Africa in the colors and shapes (savannah, zebra, lion, sky).
