This week journal is 12{52}swirl... It is vintage silk and a dryer sheet hand painted and stamped and hand stitched with cotton variegated thread. While overall I think it's pretty and adheres to my self imposed rules, I am not all that happy with it, specifically with the hand stitching of the words. But an experiment is what it is... so there you go...
Happy Easter to those celebrating! Russian Orthodox Easter is still five weeks away, so just when you think you were all done with eggs and bunnies and feasts, I'll be back to share all the festivities here.. Well maybe except for the bunnies, not a Russian Easter tradition, unless I decide to cook one. Nah, I'll probably stick to lamb...

Hi Natalya, I have just been nominated for an award by Gunnel as a blog that’ brings her inspiration and makes her appreciate the blogosphere’, and of course I have to do the same to 10 blogs that I enjoy! You meet the criteria so consider yourself well and truly nominated! If you have the time please do the same for 10 other inspiring sites.
Why are you unhappy with the stitching of "swirl"? I think it fits in well with the rest of your embroidery and quilting. What don't you like?
thank you Annica!
Vivien, the letter stitching looks weak and amateurish to me and didn't have the time to pull it out and rework.. nor was I inspired to.
