journal sketches

Here's the sketch that was seen in the beginning of my last post on journal sketches. I should have just left it at triangles, but no I had to keep going back to it and ended up muddying the whole thing up. But none the less here it is for the world to see. 1-23-09
After that instead of switching to colla
ge I felt compelled to continue with watercolors, but no more patterns - faces for now. 1-24-09 1-25-09 1-26-09 1-27-09 1-28-09 1-29-09
Now I'm thinking of prepping a bunch of pages with watercolor backgrounds and then doodling with Pigma pens for a few days... Let's see if I actually do that...

These are great! I especially like the faces from the 26th, 28th, and 29th.

I love the blue and green one best but all are wonderful to see.

Hi, I just received my copy of "Art Quilts at Play" and I am visiting the other contributing artists websites. I love what you did with the metal candle drip holder. A very inspiring piece surrounds it! Your house quilt is beautiful!

These are so bold and full of energy! Fun and almost childlike (in a very good way).

I've set up an area in my studio so I can sketch and paint when the spirit moves me.
Thank you for the inspiration.
There's a photo of it on my blog tonight.
