day eleven... creative.

First things first - thank you Veterans!!!Creative day today... no school, so lets go on a road trip right? Right! The Storm King Art Center. It was fun, even wrangling four kids ages four to seven, was fun to a point too.... What a wonderful place! Huge beautiful landscaped park with tremendous sculptures through out and a lovely small museum. I practiced being creative with my brothers camera, as I still can't decide on what my new camera should be. Loved the grasses growing in the fields here, couldn't stop taking more and more shots...The Wavefield by Maya Lin. Wall by Andy Goldsworthy.

I love the way the art installations sneak up on you. It's a lovely natural setting, and then "wow" you realize that there is man made art there too.

I think Goldsworthy was a colonial farmer in a previous life!

Oops, also meant to say that the Wave Field is really cool. I wonder if they ever plant more flowing grasses on it so really make the waves move.
