I am honored to be included among the talented artists invited to participate in the Space Between exhibit curated by the fabulous duo of Leslie Jenison and Jamie Fingal. My piece is Steni Mezhdu Sosedyami/
Стены Между Соседями/Walls Between Neighbors.
Here are a couple of close ups. I used vintage lace curtains, my own photos of inspirational St. Petersburg, Russia architecture, manipulated in Photoshop® and printed on organza, recycled paper, rayon thread and variegated embroidery floss. It is mostly hand stitched. If any of you follow me on Twitter or Facebook you might have seen me complain of my raw fingers...this is why!

I love how the curtain lace patterns play with the print of older architecture. It's a wonderful piece and congrats on having it included in the "Spaces Between" show.
I like the way the stitching distorts the curtain. Definitely worth it as it blends all the layers together. Congratulations on your acceptance!

Glorious!!!!! I love the texture that the lace gives to the photos - almost an underwater with pattern look!!! Yes I can certainly understand sore fingers- you do use thimbles I hope??????

congrats on the show. this is as others have said so gorgeously beautiful and evocative. i love the way you meld photos on cloth and cloth itself and the stitches. i like the unusual angle of view. best of luck
