sadko costumes part 2

This is the second post about our schools latest costuming endeavor.  

The town of Novgorod is visited by far away guests who all sing and dance to entice our hero to travel to their lands in search of riches.

Of course Sadko's adventures take him to even more fantastical depths, such as the kingdom of the King of the Sea!

Thank you, also, for the jog to my own memory. Once upon a time, long ago and far away, I studied with Adeline Nall at Fairmount High School, the home of James Dean. Costumes for the drama department were the beginnings of my artistic practice. Memory, as I said, more than forty years ago.

Karen stole my line, "I love the waves"! Actually, I love all the costumes but I would really like to be the sea king!
