Oh and good mail news - a letter from the Yeiser Art Center telling me that I won third place in Up In Stitches exhibit! Whoo Hoo! No work of mine has ever won anything before, I pretty excited.. The exhibit runs till May 3rd, if you happen to be in Paducah do check it out and let me know how it looks...

This week has been crazy, between the birthday festivities for my younger daughter, doctors appointments and paperwork to be done, barely time to breathe. But I did manage to get two things done - this journal and the six windows pieces. The windows I'll share later as I still need to photograph them. But here's 11{52}look - my journal for this week. Scraps of painted vintage silk, free-hand machine embroidered. Pretty simple due to lack of time.
