the big journal catch up

I am very excited to report that I have caught up on my weekly journals, thank goodness! I really disliked being so behind, it makes me feel unsettled, crazy I know. Here are my journals from July and August - the travel months. 27{52} through 35{52}, here's a look at all of them together and a look at 31{52} through 35{53} separately as I didn't blog about them before. I think my trick of using the same background and same base materials has worked for keeping them in a series. I liked coming up with different ways of using the same supplies for each weeks journal, a good challenge for me. Take a look and tell me what you think!

I think they look terrific as a group, but each one is a little gem on its own.

Wonderful, each one lovelier than the next. I like the color/background similarity. It's funny I was just thinking about your journal quilts and wondering if you were able to keep them going through the travels and school prep excitement. Blessings, Suki

Natalia, Wonderful just wonderful, I like the neat little stitches forming circles or rivers, holding it all together. It is whimsical and like minilandscapes, so beautiful,

As always.
I find that limits really do push creativity and resourcefulness. And, maybe because I'm such a neophyte, I find comfort in the growing intimacy with a fewer things. I'm much less overwhelmed by choices when at least a few of them are old friends. There will come a point, I suppose, where limits lead to repetition without innovation, but I think/hope that's a long way away still.

Welcome home.

They are stunning Natayla. I like the way you've used similar colors and that hand seed stitch in them all. They look great together, but also stand on their own.
