theater arts

This year our Russian school play has gone by in a blur... but I promised pictures, so here they are. Very few full costumes actually came to life in my studio. I mostly made parts of costumes.
a hat here
some painted tights there
the evolution of a party dress here
A few scenes from the play... several of the months with the heroine of the story; step mother and step sister; the bratty queen; snowflakes; and winter, scaring everyone..

Natalya, the costumes and scenery are amazing. The fabrics alone are gorgeous and the kids look like they are having fun. Thanks for sharing the photos. I look forward to this every year.

I knew it, I knew it! Costumes for the school show... Is this the story "Двенадцать месяцев" Самуила Маршака? I know it and like it.
It seems to have been again a feast of colours, music and a lot of joy! The costumes are wonderful! I especially like the tree.:) Are you contented?

Beautiful costumes, as always! Who got to wear the cool painted tights?

These costumes are truly remarkable, even if you did only pieces of them--who wouldn't want to wear such tights?

I also love the fiber shots, and nature pix.
