new work!

Unbelievable... I actually have new work to show... this one of six new art quilts I created recently - Питерское Окно/Piterskoie Okno/St. Pete Window 15. The previous five I cannot show yet, shhhhh.. they have been sent off for publication, we'll see what happens. But I will be able to show the next one when I complete it, it's in the works already. Here I used synthetic organza, dryer sheets, paper and a vintage hankie. Painted, printed, machine and hand stitched. These have been fun to make and even relaxing, especially because of the hand stitching, despite the craziness of the season and all the deadlines. This piece is off to the SAQA NY trunk show for the year and then will be participating in the SAQA auction.

Simply lovely...I love all the fabrics and items used to make it. I wish I could see it larger...would like to know just where the dryer sheets are. Which part??? Wow.

Lovely, Natalya. I, too, would like to see it bigger.

Can't wait to see the other ones as well. With this as a teaser, it's sure to be a beautiful group of pieces.
