day fifteen

We had a peaceful morning around here today and I got quite of bit of free-motion quilting done on my brother's baby present. Oooppss... that might have just given it away.. oh well.. Anyhow as I was doing my usual swirls I made the one like above and had a revelation! I've been doing these types of swirls for years and all that time it never occurred to me that I was making my maiden name initial in Russian! My maiden name in Russian is Хоровер and in script that X is very swirly and I made it mine.. go figure! Yes my mind wanders during free-motion stitching and I find it very meditative. So I decided that from now on that is my signature free-motion pattern! So if eons from now you're looking at a piece that looks like mine, but you're not sure, look for the swirly XXXX...
