day nineteen..

Yep! I skipped 16, 17 and 18. Let's call it a rebellion of sorts. I sort of felt uncomfortable having to report and prove my creativity everyday. I was being creative everyday, but did not necessarily have a great picture to prove it and felt cranky having to provide a pretty picture. Hmmm.... maybe a therapist will say that's normal... I don't know...But I do know that today, day 19, is an auspicious day. That is because today I received a gift. My brand new and so far one and only, niece made her world debut today!! The little munchkin came to this earth healthy and screaming, as she should be. (above is her blankie, that you got teased with earlier...)

Congratulations to all! I wish your baby niece many happy years snuggling up in her special auntie-made hanky blankie. :-)

Congratulations! What a beautiful baby and such a sweet blanket you've made her.

And you certainly don't need to prove to anyone that you're creative every day with a picture! This whole thing is meant to be low-key and low-pressure so you can post when you want to, pretty picture or not. I'm not a big fan of the whole bootcamp mentality, which is why I try to make it relaxed. So from here on out, feel no need to prove anything, you're doing fabulously! (((hugs)))

Oh, babies are the most wonderful creatures! They fit so perfectly in your arms and snuggle so deliciously into your neck. Sweet. Sweet.

I have experienced exactly the same rebellion to the art every day thing. Art should not be such an obligation! I won't do this again, but I will keep making art!

Your lovely quilt looks like it might be made from vintage hankies. Is it? And of course your new niece is beee-oooo-ti-ful!
