journal quilt

I am ahead of schedule this week with my journal quilt. Here's 43/52. I whipped out my heat gun for this one! Mainly I wanted to play, so I used a plastic bag from my recent purchase at the Country Quilter. I stitched on to some white raw silk that I drew on with water soluble crayons. I melted the heck out of it, and then attached another piece of a random plastic bag that had some writing on it and watched it shrink on to the purple. Then I free-hand machine embroidered it and painted with a little acrylic paint. When the paint dried I stitched some more and then serged the edges and voila! Done!

That's a lot of work! Its beautiful. Is the pattern representative of anything in particular?

Thank you Waltraud and Violette!
It wasn't quite that much work, it was mostly play and the pattern was really just a doodle similar to the patterns I use in most of my work.
