I am very honored to have my work accepted into Art Quilt Elements 2010. The opening reception is this Saturday if you would like to join me and some of the other artists from the exhibit.Earlier in the day, well all day actually, will be a SAQA mini conference that promises to be quite educational and inspiring. I am really looking forward to the whole day of communing with fellow artists and soaking in all the knowledge and inspiration that will be around me. I will report back next week on all I see and hear. Meanwhile you might remember these reports (here, here and here) from two years ago when I attended the SAQA and SDA regional conference in Philly and the AQE exhibit. I came away quite inspired and just rereading those blog posts put me in the mood for this weekend's adventures.
Above you see a detail from my accepted piece called 'Piter I'. I'll show the whole piece in a later post, just a teaser for now, especially if you can get to the exhibit to see for yourself.... I used a detail from that piece for my new logo on my website that I'll working on updating right now. Only the home page is uploaded so far if you care to take a look and tell me what you think.
